We come alongside clients to better understand their businesses and what they do so we know what type of video works best for them. Church Sermon Trailers

Jessica Arena, the founder of J.A. Cinema, is actively involved with the creative team at her church and will often create sermon trailers.

While the direct purpose of sermon trailers is a way to introduce what the pastor will be discussing for church and also give the band time to transition off stage for the pastor to enter, the higher goal is to push the congregation to think on a deeper level and reflect what they will be learning about before the sermon begins.

Trailers can be for a series over the course of several weeks or months, or a stand-alone talk. They are typically anywhere between 30 seconds to 1 minute, and can have very abstract or literal visuals.

Transitioning that into her business, J.A. Cinema has begun come alongside local Christian churches to create these trailers, working in all phases to correlate with the passages/topics the pastor has given us to create for.

DOCUMENTARIES

Documentaries are a way to understand the realities of life on a practical level. Humanity in its most honest form, so is the goal. These are some shorter documentary projects we developed and filmed. Currently we are making the Portrait of a Drummer short into a more comprehensive feature length film that expands to many musicians in the local North Jersey area.

Music Videos

Ah, the music video. A classic creative outlet for both musicians and filmmakers alike. Staying in tune with our style, thus far J.A. Cinema has filmed music videos with a very documentary feel to them. We hope to expand this in the future to create pieces that explore more abstract points of view to enhance the music in a more surreal way.

Testimonials

Perhaps even more honest than documentaries are testimonials. They provide an opportunity for the subject to open up in a way they might not have had a chance before. While we film, J.A. Cinema provides a relaxed and comforting atmosphere for people to be interviewed in so they have the freedom to be heard.
